The 250 GTE was Ferrari’s first production 2+2 car, a significant moment for the marque. Previous four-seater models had been produced by special-order for individual clients. Fitted with the Tipo 250 single overhead camshaft 3-litre V12, 957 of them were built. The Pininfarina bodywork combined the results of the latest studies on aerodynamics with extremely elegant lines.
This particular car is a series 1 and arrived with us via auction, requiring a full nut and bolt restoration.
To date the car has been fully stripped and scanned with all components assessed and overhauled, retaining as much of the original part as possible. The body and metalwork is almost complete, in preparation for the dry build process and paintwork.
This car is available for sale.
