‘The most famous car in the world”.

Aston Martin launched the DB5 in 1963, and quickly obtained international star status after it’s starring role in the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger. Only 65 DB5 Vantages were produced, of which around 40 were right-hand drive, making this an extremely collectable car.

The high-performance DB5 Vantage featured three Weber twin-choke 45DCOE side-draft carburettors and revised camshaft profiles, delivering greater top-end performance. This engine produced 315hp (235kW).

This particular car arrived with us in good un-restored condition, but required an engine re-seal.

We began by removing the engine, gearbox and axle, followed by the rear and front suspension. Once fully checked and re-sealed, gaskets were replaced where necessary. The engine was fully detailed, along with the engine bay which was also repainted. We then fully detailed the gearbox and under-sealed the floor. The suspension was overhauled and suspension springs re-powder coated along with other components as necessary.

Once re-assembled, this incredible example will be returned to its owner ready to be fully enjoyed… or perhaps even ready to begin an adventure with a new owner!
