Developed by Michael Schumacher, with more power, less weight and a host of F1 derived enhancements, the 430 Scuderia is sensational to drive and took V8 Ferrari performance to a new level

There’s a temptation to think that, because the new 430 Scuderia is about 100kg lighter than its F430 stablemate and is aimed at a track-bound audience, it’s merely a stripped out pseudo-racer. Yet this is so much more than an F430 lite.

An obsession over the detail ensured that the Scuderia lapped Ferrari’s 1.8-mile Fiorano test track 1.5sec quicker than the standard F430. In fact, apparently it’s as fast as an Enzo around the iconic circuit, which in turn made it the fastest ‘mass produced’ Ferrari in its time.

The name ‘Scuderia’ is Italian for ‘team, but within the Ferrari team at the time there was one  Michael Schumacher who put in development miles and also suggested a number of technical improvements

Schumacher may or may not have also proposed upping the horsepower, but it’s of little surprise given the nature of the car that there are a few more ponies in the paddock with peak power from the  quad-cam V8 rising from 483bhp to 503bhp

Extra power is mated to improved aerodynamic set-up.  With lessons learned about underbody air management (from F1 and the FXX programme) and a little bit of help from a slightly larger lip spoiler on the tail – the aero package creates 310kg of downforce at 186mph (300kph),

Perhaps less single-minded inside, the cabin sports carbon fibre door panels, four-point harnesses and bare alloy floors alongside plush-looking Alcantara trim for the facia, air-conditioning and airbags.

  • Engine V8, 4308cc
  • Max power        503bhp @ 8500rpm
  • Max torque 347lb ft @ 5250rpm
  • 0-62mph 3.5 sec
  • Top speed 199 mph

There isn’t an area of the car that wasn’t enhanced in some small way, and there are some parts that were upgraded in large ways – sensational to drive with genuine F1 project crossover, the 430 Scuderia remains amongst the most raw and thrilling Ferrari road cars.

Having covered 56,300 kilometers & supported with a full dealer service history (last service March 2022) and original book pack, this car is available for immediate delivery.
