A hardcore, hand built limited run Speedster built to celebrate Jaguar’s seven Le Mans wins.
Ultimate Black, with full black leather interior. 1,740 miles. Jaguar service history.
Based on an F-Type R convertible, Project 7 is lighter, more powerful (567bhp), has a much more aggressive chassis set-up and was the first F-Type to produce proper downforce.
A roofless Speedster (accompanied by foldable Bimini stowable cloth top) that echoes the glorious racing D-types, just 250 were to be built of which 80 were for the UK. All sold out as soon as the car was announced.
Hand built by Jaguar’s SVO team, every area of the F-Type R convertible was enhanced to deliver higher levels of performance and sharper responses. The top speed is 186mph and 0-62mph comes up in 3.8-seconds. At launch, Project 7 was the most powerful Jaguar ever.
To drive, the Project 7 is very similar to the F-Type R with everything turned up. The sense of agility, mid-corner grip and traction are all improved, whilst the standard car’s sense of sheer fun has been preserved.
The engine remains a mighty performer and the noise is almost comically OTT. It howls and crackles and booms on the overrun, and the noise and the swirling air just add to the sense of occasion.
