Veloce – The greatest charity track day on earth
In just 5 short years Veloce has established itself as the one of the truly great motoring experiences. It is akin to being at The Goodwood Revival, except instead of just watching famous racing drivers flying round the track in iconic and priceless cars, guests are right in there with them.
The brain child of collector and philanthropist Peter Neumark and V group founder Chris Bucknall, the aim is for Veloce to become a leading fundraising initiative that will in future incorporate other top-end motoring events, with the aim of raising £500,000 annually by 2025. This year’s event supported Hope for Tomorrow and halow project.
This year’s cars will included priceless icons of the past 100+ years, including the 1910 Fiat S76 Beast of Turin, 1930 Bentley Speed Six that raced that year at Le Mans, 1932 Alfa 8C Monza, Ecurie Ecosse Jaguar C-Type, D-Type and XKSS, Ferrari 250 GTO, Stirling Moss’ Ferrari 250 SWB, Ferrari 330 LMB, Kremer Porsche RSR The ‘Hairy Canary’ Cobra, Shelby Daytona Coupe, , Ferrari Daytona Spider, the 2002 Bentley Speed 8 Le Mans car and more.
Our own in-house racer, Peter Smith delivered high octane thrills for guests in our 330 LMB project, ably supported by the legendary Derek Bell driving our Kremer Porsche RSR for the day giving guests a once in a life time opportunity to experience the skills of such an icon on one of the most thrilling and historic tracks in the world – a big thanks from all at Bell Sport and classic to Derek and everyone that made this event such a success!
