Matching numbers example of Enzo’s favourite Ferrari
First registered in the UK in March 1965, this right-hand drive, European spec, quad-headlight Ferrari 330 GT had covered just 81,000 miles before the start of a long-term restoration programme. Authentic to its original specification, the car has been refinished in Celeste, a very light metallic silver-blue, with Nero Franzi leather upholstery and Grigio carpets.
The Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 is the model that Enzo Ferrari loved the most – in fact it was his choice of car for everyday use and it’s easy to see why. Ferrari loved the concept of ‘GT cars’ and the 330 GT 2+2 totally satisfied both this and his passion for flair and design. It is a beautiful car to look at; its 4.0-litre Colombo-derived V12 engine ensures it is both powerful and fast, yet it remains spacious, comfortable and incredibly practical.
Our car is one of the last four-speed Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series 1s made and imported and sold by Maranello Concessionaires to its first owner, Mr J Hally. Built to European specification, the car is right-hand drive and features the iconic quad-headlight arrangement that was unique to the Series 1 cars.
Mr Hally sold the car to the late Ian Stewart (Jackie Stewart’s brother) in 1972. During 1989 it underwent an extensive restoration programme at Hexagon of Highgate; was exhibited at the Midland Motor Museum for four years and featured in an article in Classic & Sports Car magazine in July.
